Just want to make an update
09/05/25
I haven't updated anything in about a week. When I realized the problem with page indexes, I was dreading the small amount of work it was going to take to fix the problem. But that's all corrected now. The content is hosted staticly agian, yay!
On a different note, I went to a family gathering at my grandmother's home last weekend. And while she is very much the same as she has ever been, I still had fun making some halloween themed treats for the occasion! I made some Oreo bats using Halloween Oreos, and a cookie cake that was part chocolate chip cookie, and part ghost sugar cookie, the Pillsbury type. Here are some pictures of how they turned out!
Maybe I Should Record Readings of Poe...

Since this website is for me and for it's own sake, I am thinking about doing some recordings of some of Edgar Allan Poe. It's almost Halloween, and I love Poe's stories so much. I've even committed the entirety of The Raven to memory just because I can, but there will never really be a good time or a place to share that with anyone. For now I'm posting about it rather than just doing it to keep some momentum going on this website. "Killed momentum kills projects" as Zack Friendman always says.
And while I'm glad that I used the JavaScript to make formatting the blog posts easier just earlier this week, I also had the realization that it would mess up search indexing. So I'll likely need to roll that back...
Used JavaScript to make formatting blog posts easier

I want to make more pages, but I also want to make sure the my site is easily maintainable. I'm storing my posts as an array of data, and then dynamically generating the html. I still down have much more of a plan other than having my own fun place to play around with things online and just create stuff that I am happy to share with anyone who finds it. But for now, I'm having some fun just making these little functional bits of code in my spare time.
Goblin Prom is a fun TTRPG

I have made some more updates to the page. I'm still figuring out my layout for this. My background is Computer Science, and the last time that I did any form of web development was before I had even graduated from high school. I've just used Javascript to make the header and sidebars able to match across pages without having to update them individually. It feels a little messy, because the last time I had a project like this, I was just able to do a server-side include using PHP. But it works just fine!
